Recap

The purpose of Censored Gaming, although it has been said before to no avail, is to provide a place where gamers can come and feel apart of a family. We offer free ventrilo channels in our 50 slot with your own channel admin. If anyone wants to take advantage of this offer, feel free to either post in our forums or visit our contact page and contact me directly. The reason we offer things like this that other communities don't, is because we strive to not just be another pointless group that make false claims, or make you go to extreme measures to get what you want.

In other news, the site has been heavily updated with many small things you may not notice at first, but make the site a whole. For instance, the home page has been changed considerably, as well as the downloads and about pages. I have also added a link under the media player to pop-up a window for people who want to listen to our music while you surf the web.

Censored Gaming also has a team of talented mappers, including myself. I am currently working on some maps for our Counter-Strike: Source Gun Game server, and these will be available for download shortly. Here is a preview of one of my maps:

For new mappers who would like some helpful advice, I cannot give you a better piece of advice than this. It says it all.

And on that note, Its not every day that you see your name dominating a christian school sign (especially your alias), so i had to pull over and take a picture.

Collaboration of events

Here it is: a news post after almost 4 months... Enjoy.

While the concept of an almighty gaming community is a nice one to have, it is however a harder dream to invision than previously thought. Basically, there have been many factors in my life due to recent events which have led me to neglect my work and continuation on Censored Gaming. However, there is good news. I am about to purchase a computer, from which i will be able to further my work on this community and get it up and running again. I do sincerely apologize for the lack of.. Well, anything really at all. There will be major strides toward a more open community with more interaction from users, and a more interactive website.

Some history of Censored Gaming...

Censored Gaming is a collaboration of ideas and dreams, which someday in the near future will reach its potential. It was formed due to many failed attempts at creating a successful gaming community. After its initial creation, the name stuck with us and we realized that we may have something. So, myself and maybe two others began working on getting servers up for our upcoming community for users to pub in, as well as voice servers so we could become interactive. After the integrity of the site was set up and i had all the servers ready to go, we began on ways to expand our name, which led to the creation of our Xfire and Steam groups. From there, we tried to expand our name as much as possible, and with many successful attempts. We've had bursts of activity, and likewise - inactivity. In the past, we have basically been a teeter totter. Our website looked like crap, and was completely useless apart from our forums, and we had hundreds of people. Now we have a very decent website, and we are getting inactivity. So, due to recent inspirations and events, have some ideas we'd like to share, and hopefully put into action.

Here are a few to note:

-A weekly podcast of somesort, to inform the community.
-Website changes to make the site more interactive and user friendly.
-Hopefully, an active IRC channel for scrims and updates.

These are just a few ideas, but we hope to put some amazing things into work very soon. Don't forget about us, and stay tuned...

Face Lift

Happy early Christmas guys, and a happy half a year to Censored Gaming! We have a lot of news to share, so hope you enjoy.

We have done a massive reconstruction on the sites color scheme. Including a new background image, link colors, new Steam Community picture, media player, nav buttons, and many headers. I wanted to go with a darker feel for the site to make it less colorful and cluttered, yet retain the professionalism. I think the new colors turned out very nicely, and would love to hear what you guys think about it.

Other less noticable changes include an RSS feed for the news posts! Now its easier than ever to subscribe to our news and see whats going on. The link to subscribe is located at the top right of the page, next to the time (for those visualy impaired :p). Also, we have cleaned up the site significantly to make it less cluttered, and organized content better to make the site easier to view. The top members pictures are now individualy clickable, as well as page updates to all the top members. Check it out!

Hard at work

I can't believe it has been half a year already! It's been such a learning experience for me to work on this community, and i hope you have enjoyed it as much as i have working on it.

We have done a lot of work on the site in various places, and included much more content to give it a more professional feel. We have also done massive work on our Counter-Strike 1.6 server which is completely functional and a lot more fun. Here are the updates as follows:

Surface Tension

Here's some more news on our progress... It's slow, but bare with us.

Website development:
Basically like i've stated before, work from behind the lines. I've been reconstructing the site from the grounp up. While doing so, fixing code errors, and strategically organizing content on the site, as well as updating dead links and posting more info. We've incorporated a shoutbox for all you lazy people who don't like to forum whore like me :p

Server Developement:
I have updated all the server information on all the pages to reflect the new ventrilo server as the gametracker on the site has been showing the old info for about a month :p I've also edited the channels in vent so it's not completely empty anymore, and as it stands you can still recieve your own channel & channel admin! Either post in the forums requesting a channel and provide contact info, or pm me in the shoutbox and i'll further contact you.

**Any invoice or opinions on the site or community would be great! Either in the forums or shoubox, give us your input.

We're not dead

We are slow progress right now due to lack of management, but we are still up and running, and as always our servers are up and running for all you gamers who enjoy them. Just wanted to post this to let you guys know Censored Gaming isn't dead (contrary to popular talk) and we will be up and running again shortly. In the meantime, read on to see what we've been up to.

Other than the obvious, behind the scenes we have been doing some reconstruction on the site, fixing bad code and organizing as well as updating old content. We have also collapsed all of the news threads for convienence. Tell us what you think, give us a shout! Check in regularly for updates, and as always our forums and contact section are up and running if you have any questions.

We are almost there!

Most currently, we have finaly made a ton of progress on the Forums. We have gotten all of the sections up, and revised the permissions so the Forums are nearing completion. Please get there and register now!!!

We are also teaming up with Stasis Gaming to provide a great gaming experience. We will have a new scrim server posted soon, and you will see more info about Stasis Gaming under Our Afiliates. Also, we have also made some major progress on the site including a new donate section, and many bug fixes throughout the site.

Site is 90% Complete!

We have been working tediously to get the site up and running, and after 4 long months, we are finally reaching completion! We have just a few minor tweaks to do to the whole of the website and we are finished. We've incorporated java script for the Top Members as well as finished up all of the remaining pages. The last thing we have to do is get the Forums and we are up and rolling.

We sincerely apologize for the loss of the old Forums. We had a few technical difficulties including some modifications, and some email issues on our server, so the registrations were not being sent out correctly. We ended up with a fresh install of the forums and it's working fine now. As far as the sections go, that is in the last 10% to complete.
